Wesley Moore (playwright) Mr. Moore’s A Reckoning premiered at the Soho Theatre ( London) starring Jonathan Pryce. Other plays include Departure (Donmar Warehouse Theatre, London), Swim Visit (Donmar Warehouse Theatre, London and Primary Stages, NYC), Finder's Fee ( Zephyr Theatre, LA and Rattlestick Theatre, NYC). Finder’s Fee will be presented next on the West End by Olivia Wingate Productions. His new play Moguls will be produced this fall by the Echo Theatre Company (LA). Film and TV: Rocket to the Moon for American Playhouse and Channel Four in England, starring John Malkovich, Judi Davis and Eli Wallach; the screenplay for the USA network film Apprentice to Murder, starring Donald Sutherland. He recently adapted Noel Coward's Quadrille for Steve Tisch, and is currently at work on a new play.

JENNIFER TIGHE* (Irene) was last seen in the Bay Area production of Collected Stories at Berkeley Rep. Other stage credits: Closer (Mark Taper Forum), As You Like It ( Matrix Theatre, LA), Murder of Crows (Taper Stage II), and The Blonde At The Party (Stella Adler Theatre, NYC). Film credits: Dummy (directed by Errol Morris), the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of Timepiece, and the recently completed A Perfect Lie. She has appeared on Navy CIS, ER, Chicago Hope, as well as recurring roles on Pretender, Crossing Jordan, and the Hughes Brothers production of Touching Evil. Ms. Tighe is a graduate of the University of Southern California and an alumnus of the Circle in the Square Theatre Program in New York City.

   

KEVIN TIGHE * (Spencer) Theatre credits include the U.S. premiere of A Skull In Connemara (Roundabout, Off-Broadway), Mourning Becomes Electra (Long Wharf), Hedda Gabler (Seattle Rep), Buried Child (Arena Stage), Yuri Lyubimov’s production of Crime and Punishment (Arena Stage), Night of the Iguana (McCarter Theatre), The Ballad of Soapy Smith (Public Theatre), Open Admissions (Broadway), and Design For Living (National Company of Great Britain). Films include What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Eight Men Out, Matewan, Bright Angel, I Love a Man in Uniform (Genie Award for Best Supporting Actor), City of Hope, Mumford, Newsies, the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of In Cold Blood, and the recently completed Tulse Luper Suitcase, directed by Peter Greenaway.

director, DESIGNERS & CREW

RICHARD SEYD (Director) served as the Associate Artistic Director of ACT from 1992-95. In the 1980's, he served as Associate Producing Director of Eureka Theatre. He has won Backstage West awards for his productions of Cloud 9, Noises Off, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Collected Stories. Recent productions include Present Laughter and The Presentment for Pasadena Playhouse, The Lion in Winter for La Mirada Theatre, Dinner with Friends for Berkeley Rep, and Feast of Fools with Geoff Hoyle at La Jolla Playhouse and the Marines Memorial Theatre. Last year, he directed a highly successful production on London’s West End of A Reckoning with Jonathan Pryce, and a production of Noises Off, which began life at San Jose Rep and moved to the Marines Memorial Theatre. He just remounted Noises Off for Seattle Rep.

DONNA ROSE FLETCHER* (Stage Manager) In the "I Can't Believe I Get Paid For Having This Much Fun" category: The original five-year Off-Broadway run of Little Shop of Horrors; two Little Shop European tours; La Pettite Boutique des Horreurs in Paris; Fully Committed and The Vagina Monologues at Theatre on the Square; Fool Moon, A Christmas Carol (1996-2000), and The Matchmaker for ACT; Richard Seyd's productions of Noises Off, in 1989 at the Marines Memorial and in 2004 at Seattle Rep. In the "That Which Does Not Kill You Makes You Stronger" category: ACT’s Angels in America; Berkeley Rep’s 1989 productions of The Winter's Tale and Lulu (starring Justine Bateman who was being harassed by an armed stalker); and the national tour and SF run of Dirty Blonde.

JOHN IACOVELLI + (Set Design) won the Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle Award for A Streetcar Named Desire at ACT, and an Emmy for Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby on A&E and LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Lifetime Achievement in Scenic Design. Broadway: The Twilight of the Golds. Regional: Over 200 productions at theatres including Mark Taper Forum, South Coast Rep, Pasadena Playhouse, The Globe, Berkeley Rep, Dallas Theatre Center, Oregon Shakespeare, Portland Stage, San Jose Rep, San Diego Rep, Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company. Film: Ruby in Paradise (production designer), Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (art director). TV: Beckett Directs Beckett: Endgame, The Old Settler, The Gin Game, Ed (two seasons), Babylon 5 (five seasons), Resurrection Blvd (three seasons). YORK KENNEDY+ (Light Design) Mr. Kennedy’s designs have been seen in theatres across America and Europe. His awards for theatrical lighting design include the Drama-Logue, San Diego Drama Critics’ Circle, Backstage West Garland, Arizoni Theatre, and the Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle Awards. In the dance world, he has designed and toured throughout Eastern Europe and the United States. As an architectural lighting designer, he has designed lighting for numerous themed environment, theme park, and museum projects including the Sony Metreon Sendak Playspace (2000 IES Award) in San Francisco, Warner Bros. Movie World in Madrid, and The LEGO Racers 4D attraction in Germany, Denmark, England, and USA. A graduate of California Institute for the Arts and Yale School of Drama, Mr. Kennedy lives in Berkeley, CA.

MAGGIE MORGAN+ (Costume Design) is pleased to be making her Magic Theatre debut. Recent theatre credits: Dirty Blonde at Sacramento Theatre Company, a benefit performance of Sunset Boulevard with Anjelica Huston and Sir Ben Kingsley (Pantages Theatre) and Vincent in Brixton (West Coast premiere - Pasadena Playhouse). Award winning designs at Mark Taper Forum, Matrix Theatre, as well as at South Coast Rep, Pasadena Playhouse, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Yale Rep, SOHO Rep. Film designs include Sex and a Girl and Breathing Hard and assistant design work on feature films include Mona Lisa Smile, Apollo 13, Casino, Men in Black, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Ms. Morgan has an MFA from Yale Drama School and is on the faculty at University of California at Davis.

BILL WILLIAMS (Sound Design) Recent sound designs include: The Importance of Being Earnest directed by Jonathan Moscone and All's Well That Ends Well directed by Lisa Peterson for California Shakespeare Theatre; Fräulein Else directed by Stephen Wadsworth, Haroun and the Sea of Stories directed by Dominique Surrand, and Surface Transit directed by Tony Taccone for Berkeley Rep. Previously, he has worked as a Systems Designer for Lucasfilm, THX, and as a technical support specialist for Meyer Sound Labs. When not at the theatre, Bill spends much of his time recording, editing, and mixing hi-def, multi-channel digital audio for music, stage, and film.
