A husband, a wife and a doctor take a crash course in the workings of the human heart. Touching and controversial, Morbidity and Mortality is a portrait of one woman's profound loss – and her obsession with the doctor whose mistake irreversibly changed her life.
A tour-de-force for 3 actors, Morbidity and Mortality is a hard-hitting, yet surprisingly humorous drama. Set in a sparse theatrical landscape, the text focuses on the relationship of these three compelling and flawed characters. This production is the culmination of extensive developmental work with the playwright and the director through readings at the Atlantic Theatre and as a part of the New Works Now series at the Public Theatre.
Originally developed by Cherry Lane Theatre, Angelina Fiordellisi, Artistic Director.
