Magic Theatre promises to deliver world-class productions of bold new plays and the chance to get close to the action.  That's the "Magic Experience." 
                   
And for the last 40 years we've kept the promise.  It is a simple and clear guiding vision that allows Magic Theatre to continue building our remarkable legacy as one of the country's leading homes for new plays. 

It is no surprise – here in the heart of the Bay Area – that our community embraces the risk of giving birth to new works.  Since 1967 we've presented legendary writers side-by-side with visionary newcomers. Over four decades we've delivered more than 250 premieres that have launched careers and provoked countless passionate discussions among audiences and artists alike. 

Now we are eager to start the next chapter.
